Welcome

Welcome to Appalachian Pathways, where people of all ages can participate in creative and innovative educational programs, and where the only qualification to enroll is a sense of curiosity!

Appalachian Pathways is a new initiative from the Office of Conferences and Institutes, which is part of Appalachian’s Continuing Education Division. New programs and classes currently being developed will provide many additional educational opportunities in our community. We invite you to check back often and see what is new!

Appalachian State University has a long history of promoting lifelong learning and developing diverse quality educational opportunities for non-traditional students through the Institute for Senior Scholars and the many camps and conferences sponsored by the Office of Conferences and Institutes.
Camp Broadstone,
ASU's specialized summer camp for academically gifted students, offers both a day camp and a residential camp for youth from the High Country and beyond.

Many of the ASU's cultural activities are available to this community through the Michael R. Patricelli Craft Enrichment Program, the Community Art School, and the ASU Community Music School.

For 2009, Appalachian Pathways offered a few camps for youth. We hope to resume adult programming at a later date.

Equal Opportunity Policy

Appalachian State University is committed to providing equal opportunity in education and employment to all applicants, students, and employees. The university does not discriminate in access to its educational programs and activities, or with respect to hiring or the terms and conditions of employment, on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, creed, sex, gender identity and expression, political affiliation, age, disability, veteran status, or sexual orientation. The university actively promotes diversity among students and employees.
